Nigel Homer (Chief Executive) comes to TEC with 13 years' experience working on business partnerships at The Nature Conservancy in Washington DC. He has broad experience in areas such as supply chain, licence to operate, reputation, stakeholder engagement and green marketing. 

 

 

 

Eva Beresford (Engagement, Training and Evaluation) is an environmental scientist who came to TEC by way of Hong Kong and Italy. She has delivered a wide range of stakeholder engagement projects as project manager, facilitator and evaluator. She has designed and facilitated public, NGO and private sector workshops at local, national and international levels. Eva leads TEC’s Learning and Development Programme and speaks a number of European languages.

 

 

Erica Sutton (Project Manager) specialises in dialogue and engagement processes. Facilitation roles include process planning and design, support facilitation and recording at workshops; and stakeholder identification, research and liaison. Project management experience includes contractual arrangements, budgeting; and co-ordination of project teams and suppliers. Communications and administrative experience includes production and dissemination of invitations and briefing materials, and logistical tasks such as venue bookings and arrangements.  

 

Claire Mellier-Wilson (Engagement Manager) specialises in process design and facilitation, project and staff management and contribution to the strategic development of the organisation. Prior to her role at The Environment Council, Claire worked for a French environmental NGO as a campaigner and for a waste company as Business Development Officer. Her interest for public and stakeholder engagement emerged when studying Political Sciences at University in Bordeaux. She then decided to undertake a Masters degree in Environmental Public Relations.

 

Suzannah Lansdell (Associate) has over 15 years experience advising on, designing, managing and facilitating high-level stakeholder engagement projects.  She spent most of her career with us at The Environment Council, leading and developing the Council’s stakeholder dialogue work, where from 1999 she held roles as Deputy Chief Executive and Development Director.  Since 2007 she has been a freelance facilitator and stakeholder engagement advisor. Suzannah is also a Dialogue and Engagement Specialist with the Sciencewise Expert Resource Centre.

 

Justin French-Brooks (Associate) runs Word to Dialogue, a sustainability advisory service. Justin has worked in the sustainability arena for over ten years and is a Member of CIWM (Chartered Institution of Wastes Management). Most recently Justin worked with TEC on a project funded by the Environment Agency to promote Quality Protocol recycled products in manufacturing, construction, agriculture and sports. Justin has a Masters degree in Environmental Technology from Cambridge University and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.

   

NicolaNicola Builder (Associate) is an experienced sustainable development practitioner with a background in policy development, project management and community involvement. She has been volunteering and working with TEC since January 2011 to contribute her experience whilst developing her skills in authentic engagement and stakeholder dialogue. Nicola helps facilitate TEC dialogues, for example with the Environment Agency and Shell. 

 

Carl Reynolds (Associate) has over 15 years experience advising on, designing, managing and facilitating high-level stakeholder engagement projects, mediating disputes and training communication skills. He has worked on a range of projects including conservation, energy, water, knowledge networks and social issues. Carl is also a Dialogue and Engagement Specialist with the Sciencewise Expert Resource Centre, and between 2001 and 2010 was a Neighbourhood Renewal Advisor for DCLG.

 

Rowena Harris

Rowena Harris (Associate) has over 15 years experience advising on, designing and facilitating high-level stakeholder engagement projects and is a well known facilitation trainer. Rowena is also a Dialogue and Engagement Specialist with the Sciencewise Expert Resource Centre. Her focus is enabling disparate groups to build effective solutions, and seek clarity within complex situations.  In addition to working with The Environment Council, Rowena also works with The Environment Agency, The Welsh Government, DEFRA, DECC, local authorities and NGOs. 

 

King's College London volunteers. The Environment Council has a partnership with King's College. Current masters students from its Environmental Studies programme volunteer on a wide range of projects. A special thanks goes to our current volunteers:

Rhianne Ogilvie (MSc Environmental Monitoring Modelling and Management) is researching Engagement by Accounting Firms on their Environmental Programmes.

Gemma Bridgman (MA Environment, Politics and Globalisation) is looking at how water utilities are engaging stakeholders to reduce consumption in the face of climate change. She is also helping TEC with our social media strategy.

Sadia Kalam (MA Disaster Adaptation and Development) is helping TEC share learnings with our partners about behaviour change using the Defra framework and case studies.

Martha Goudie (MSc Environmental Monitoring Modelling and Management) is looking at engagement on forestry in the light of the independent panel of forestry's work.

Louise Ellis (MSc Environmental Monitoring Modelling and Management) is working with one of our partners to benchmark the scope and impact of community programmes.
