Briefing Paper on Carbon Accounting for Events
The Environment Council has developed a short briefing paper to assist with the calculation of the carbon footprint of a corporate event- such as a large scale catered meeting or conference.
The paper takes a methodological approach to carbon accounting and presents simple calculations for the various aspects of running an event.
We hope you will find this a useful tool for estimating the carbon footprint created by your venue, catering, invitations/ pre and post meeting communications, event materials (documents and resources distributed on the day of the event), and travel.
