IMarEST Event on 31 Oct - Small Sea Changes: Big Business Impacts

IMarEST are holding a workshop on 31st October at the City Conference Centre, London to explore how enhanced understanding of the oceans improves weather and climate prediction enabling better informed business decisions.

All businesses are vulnerable to risks associated with weather and climate. As well as having catastrophic social consequences, events in recent years, such as the destructive hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the extreme European heatwaves of 2006 and the UK summer floods of 2007 have demonstrated just how much weather can disrupt all types of business activity.

Longer term gradual climate change represents an even greater business risk. How much will future supply chains, business operations and markets be impacted by changes in temperature, rainfall distribution, storm intensity and rising sea levels?

Attendance at the workshop is free of charge but places are strictly limited.
