Open Course Programme

As a learning organisation, The Environment Council has been at the cutting edge of public dialogue and stakeholder engagement for over 20 years.  We are leaders in the ongoing identification and development of the skills, knowledge and capacity required to drive forward sustainability in all sectors, across a wide variety of contemporary issues.  All our trainers work on live projects and so are able draw on their practical experience of managing and facilitating complex, multi-stakeholder engagement processes and public dialogues.

The open course programme will train you in core skills that are easily transferable to other sectors and professions and which will aid personal development.  These include stakeholder analysis, practical facilitation, running and managing dialogue, evaluating engagement processes etc.

Advanced Facilitation Skills - This is a newly designed version of our popular 1-day course but for those who already have the basic facilitation skills and want to further develop and practice these skills.

The course will consist of 1-days training followed by either: a 3-hour follow up group session for participants of 2 or more from the same organisation OR a 1-hour mentoring session over the phone for individual participants. The timing of the follow up sessions can be either a few days or a few weeks after the 1-days training and arranged at a suitable time for the participants. The group sessions will be held at the participants' offices to avoid the need for them to travel, instead where possible our trainer will come to your office!

The price is costed on a case by case basis.  Please contact us for further information!
