The Environment Council and Nick Hurd MP host seminar on the Sustainable Communities Bill

On the morning of the 22nd of May, The Environment Council and the RSA’s CarbonLimited were delighted to host a morning seminar on the Sustainable Communities Bill with its principle sponsor, Nick Hurd MP. Held at the RSA’s Durham Street Auditorium, the seminar was chaired by The Environment Council’s CEO Mike King, with Trustee of The Environment Council and Head of Cities and Communities at WWF, Rod Sterne, responding to Nick’s introduction to the Bill.

The Environment Council Hosts Cross-Party Reception on Climate Change Bill

At an evening reception on Tuesday the 24th April, a diverse audience filled the Atlee Suite to hear MPs from the three main political parties speak on the Draft Climate Change Bill. This landmark new piece of proposed legislation reinforces Britain’s position as an international leader on the issue, as it is the first country to propose a Bill that puts in place statutory national targets and sets long-term goals for the reduction of CO2.

MCA Awards 2006: TEC, Gold Award Winner

TEC's work in developing stakeholder dialogue, as a process for helping to resolve environmental issues, was formally recognised at the London Hilton, on the 3rd April, at the 2006 MCA Awards. TEC, winner of the Gold Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility category, was given this award for designing, convening and managing the BNFL National Dialogue.
