Royal Mail Group Ltd Internal Capacity Building on Sustainability

Working internally in an organisation to build staff capacity and practice of sustainability

Since 2006, The Environment Council has been working with the Royal Mail Group on its Sustainability Strategy. Having carried out a consultation with key internal and external stakeholders to review the Royal Mail Group Sustainability Strategy document, we are now working with the company to develop the process required for successful internal engagement on sustainability issues.

As part of this we are running facilitated ‘Carbon Cafés’ for the CSR Leads in Royal Mail. This enables staff to engage with each other in discussions about what sustainability means to them, and the impact of the Sustainability Strategy specifically to their role and within the business as a whole.
