Chairing, hosting, stimulating? Whatever you call it, facilitating a discussion can be hard work and requires the right skills. Maeve O’Keeffe and Magnus Alanko from The Environment Council will provide theoretical advice and practical experience for those interested in learning how to facilitate better discussions and manage more effective internal and external meetings, and workshops.
This working lunch, to be held at the Dana Centre on the 25th of June, will map out the challenges of being a good facilitator and provide you with essential facilitation skills and techniques including: listening and questioning skills, tips on managing group dynamics, ice breakers and energisers, recording skills and participative evaluation techniques.
The event provides a taster of the subjects that are covered by a much more comprehensive programme of open courses provided by The Environment Council. The Environment Council also works extensively with a wide variety of organisations in developing overall learning and development strategies, bespoke courses, coaching and mentoring.
Further information on The Environment Council's Learning and Development Programme can be found at the learning and development section of the website or by calling Maeve O’Keeffe or Magnus Alanko on 0207 632 0118/0138 or by emailing training.
