Stakeholder analysis

We’ve all had frustrating experiences where a meeting has been a waste of time because the decision-makers or the key people weren’t present to allow things to move forward.  Good stakeholder analysis can overcome this and help a meeting to be successful and to achieve the desired outcomes by identifying who needs to participate.  It is also vital to consider not only who can influence or implement a decision, but also who will be impacted by it, or who can block it.

Stakeholder analysis enables a better understanding of groups that are affected (positively or negatively) by a project. TEC offers a range of tools to aid the identification and description of stakeholders on the basis of their attributes, interrelationships and interests related to a given issue or resource. It ensures that the right people are engaged, at the right time, in the right way.
